  Amaris (Am-are-is) Sade (like the singer) Bracey was born in Brooklyn Hospital one rainy evening in January of 1993. Born Raised in North Brooklyn, Moved around between, Clinton Hill, Crown Heights, Bed-Stuy and Bushwick throughout her Childhood and Adolescence. Amaris always had a love for story telling. when she was only three she came up with a stories that her Mother, Great Grandmother and Aunts help her write and illustrate.

 

By the age of 15, Amaris, was already a big sister to five sisters and two brothers and one brother on her father's side. It was a roller coaster go a life, but she  always found a way to entertain. She would entertain her family in the living room with a pretend rock concert; strumming a broom stick like a guitar and had one of the baby girls bang on the bottom of  bucket and a wire hanger attached to a open shopping cart for a homemade symbol & drum set. She would even put on a play or sock & paper bag puppet show.

That was the moment, Amaris knew she wanted to be a storyteller, whether that was writing novels or writing scripts. She wanted to connected to people on a conscious level, internally and externally.  Amaris has taken and interest in acting and has started in a few shorts, music video & independent movies. Her purpose aside from wanting to feel like a "Big Movie Star", the goal was to learn and understand the actors role in an actor-director/writer relationship. This was to also a platform to know how to convey and instruct the language and emotions to clearly translate on screen. Every moment is a learning moment for Ammo.

Amaris also known as Ammo, established AmmiNation Productions in April 2015. She is now a producer, writer, director & video editor, who also worked as a production assistant on several mainstream television and movie productions. Amaris’ IMBD features credits such as Power Book 2: GHOST, Ava Duvernay’s: When They See Us, Netflix’s The Half Of It & Amazon Prime’s Farewell Amor. Bracey has worked on as well as appeared in commercials such as Aeropostales 2019 Puff+ Oneness winter apparel campaign. 

 

Amaris ‘Ammo’ Bracey, has produced, shot, directed, and edited music and lyric videos for independent artists such as; Shinuh, DSD Major, Big Ev & Ray Bonez a.k.a. Blu Dymnd. She has shot, directed and edited promo reels for new and growing lingerie company, Courageous Kitty. Ammo has collaborated with several local and independent producers on their projects, which has aired on Brooklyn Free-Speech & BRIC TV’s public access television channels.

 

Amaris or Ammo [No Preference] has an eye for simple and yet sophisticated compositions in fictional & non fictional character development, storytelling, camera shots, camera movements, & direction, and when making decisions with timing and placement in splicing & editing. Her goal is to captivate the audience with compelling visuals that will stimulate anyone to spark imagination and lead to inspiration. All while fulfilling a message and ideas that feed your thoughts; she also tells not only her own story through her characters but the story of others that she’d encountered. To attempt to break barriers, Amaris strives to create a relationship that people can understand and relate too.
